A Quick Update from Project Safidy - Intensive SRHR Capacity Building
With the partnership of Secondary Education Department within the Ministry of National Education
Project Safidy sat in place Pool of SRHR trainers in November. The pool was trained and equipped to
be able to lead SRHR capacity building in 10 high schools across 7 regions of the country. 10
members of the pool alongside SEED staff went down to the schools from November 22nd to
December 17th to provide capacity building on SRHR concept, consent, contraception, and gender
equality for 250 in-service teachers. 12 local ministry officials were trained on the same topics plus
monitoring tools for them to be able to support and monitor teachers in delivering SRHR curriculum
in class.
