To explore the socio-cultural barriers to women's health, including access to quality services and uptake of health promoting behaviours with particular reference to sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention and treatment and contraceptive use to inform the development of a local non-governmental organization (NGO) maternal health intervention projects.
