'Desk the Halls' this Holiday

In Madagascar, only 63% of students complete primary school, with just 17% of these finishing with minimum reading skills. A lack of suitable classroom materials is preventing children from learning.

... lack of benches in our classroom brings lots of negative impact to our students... when it is hot the students struggle with the sweat and smells, during the cold season while they sit on the floor they get sick...

Monja Fahamaro Rezena, Headteacher at Analapatsy CEG

After successfully supporting 15 schools in our hometown of Fort Dauphin with 510 brand-new student desks earlier this year, we're now bringing the project to rural Madagascar.

With your help with this, we need to raise enough funds to build 1,307 new desks, improving education access for over 5,400 students across the country's southeast.

The project promises to...

Tackle a Serious Barrier to Education
By providing 1,307 classroom benches across 17 schools, we're expanding educational opportunities in rural Madagascar.

Ensure Sustainability
Made from durable, low-maintenance materials, these desks are built to last. Schools will manage them post-project, ensuring they support generations of students.

Make an Environmentally-Friendly Impact
To balance the carbon footprint of construction, we'll offset emissions through a community-managed tree planting site-growing both environmental responsibility and educational opportunity.
